Thanks gatorfellows - ProjectNoah sometimes likes to pick missions for me. It won't let me remove it either. (If you look, it's showing up in 6 missions, too.) Clearly this is not a turttle. Grr. Hopefully a helpful Project Noah Ranger will see this and fix it.
There is a Plumbago plant with very similar flowers - especially because of the color! Plumbago has rounder leaves. http://www.missouribotanicalgarden.org/gardens-gardening/your-garden/plant-finder/plant-details/kc/a542/plumbago-auriculata.aspx
QWMom you might want to check the missions you assigned for this spotting - one is for turtles. I have checked a wrong mission by accident in the past :)
Just for fun, the difference between Plumbago and Phlox is the Order: Plumbago is the Caryophyllales order of flowering plants that includes the cacti, carnations, amaranths, ice plants, and many carnivorous plants. Phlox is the Ericales are a large and diverse order, including for example tea, persimmon, blueberry, Brazil nut, and azalea. Flowers are so amazing :)
I think in Florida we call it Plumbago, but I won't dispute the name.
