Field Notes

Description:

This is an extremely rare bird in this part of the world, especially on one of the hottest days of the year, but it has been here since at least 27 March and possibly longer. I first saw it on 28th March and passed the information to the Spanish Rare birds organisation and birdforum.org, from where I heard that it had been sighted the previous day also. These pictures are all from the 6th April and I have used this as my 5,000th spotting for Project Noah.

Habitat:

Stony ground between beach and marshes.
