Description:

An adult Great Blue Heron in breeding plumage

Habitat:

In and around open areas of the Otter Tail River throughout Otter Tail County in NW Minnesota

Notes:

This was the first day I noticed the return of the Great Blue Herons to our area. This Heron had a mate it was bringing bedding or reeds to however people on snowmobiles and throwing rocks off the bridge kept scaring them away.
