Field Notes

Description:

Tan sides, black back, and a yellow vertebral stripe that runs down the entire body. They get their name from the enlarged rostral scale, but this guy was pretty young and the scale wasn't very prominent yet like it is in adults.

Habitat:

Found under tin in thorn scrub area.
