Field Notes

Description:

A tad over an inch long. Long snout, lovely maroon and black pattern on Thorax, extending down over abdomen. Dainty little antennae towards the end of the snout. Kinda cute!

Habitat:

Sandhill backyard, with a Sabal palm on it.

Notes:

Found this little fellow marching through my garage, entangled in a bit of spider web, which was hampering his movement . I cleaned it all off , and he now lives in my classroom at the Ocala Discovery Center!
