This is not a true velvet mite (Trombidiidae) but a concrete mite (Balaustium) which belong to a related family (Erythraeidae).
Yes, red velvet mite (Trombidiidae) on the right and the ant looks to me like a Camponotus species. But that's only a ballpark guess.
