Yes, you are both correct. She has four eggs to the right of her. She was making a high pitched sound to make us stay away. We thought this was a really cool experience.
I believe you can see the eggs next to her. They are ground nester and use a broken wing and loud crying tactic to lead you away from the nest. For larger animals, like horses and cows, they fluff up to try to keep them from stepping on the eggs. Nice spotting :)
