Common Snapping Turtle

If you put your hand near this turtle's head, you'll see why its called the Snapping Turtle! These large turtles are almost widespread in North America and are often seen crossing roads. Their shells are pretty tough, but they CANNOT survive a car running over them! Always let them cross!
