Field Notes

Description:

A drab colored bird with a pale chest and light brown back. The head is a little darker, and they commonly bob their tail a few times after landing on something.

Habitat:

Found in eastern and central North America in open woodland, often near water. This guy hung out near our bunkhouse in an oak dominated forest and we saw it every time we were there.
