Description:

This vicious looking bush is a thorny evergreen shrub thats flowers for very long periods so giving a lifeline to species looking for nectar in early spring and when its cold such as this year. the flowers can be eaten in salads or used to make tea. The bush in winter ususally provides shelter for many species of small birds such as warblers and stonechats.

Habitat:

seen in woodlands with majority of Oak and Elder trees.
