Description:

This is a juvenile Sargassum Frogfish - Histrio histrio, around 2 cm in size. They get the name from the habitat they lives on i.e. floating Sargassum sea weeds. They are very well camouflaged among the Sargassum sea weeds they lives on. They hunt/feed by being motionless and ambushing their prey i.e. fish fry that takes shelters under the floating Sargassum sea weed.

Habitat:

Found among floating Sargassum Seaweed at the surface of the sea.
Pic#1 is close-up of it, with blue eyes.
Pic#2 shows this tiny juvenile in its habitat i.e. Sargassum sea weed, floating at the sea surface.
