Field Notes

Description:

The males are bright dark red. Also known as the Spine-legged Redbolt.It has a hind wing measurement of 32-34mm. Legs are black with short spines. The base of the wings are amber and the eyes just touch at the top.

Habitat:

Very widespread throughout tropical Asia around ponds and other wet areas withe good vegetation. This one spotted at the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
