Field Notes

Description:

This wildflower is a an astringent, diuretic, and natural insecticide. It has been used to treat a variety of conditions including; epilepsy, headache, sores, kidney stones, heart trouble, and gout. The common name arises from the belief that fleas are repelled by the odor of the plant, there could be some merit in this considering the high levels of pyrethrum in the plant.
