Field Notes

Description:

With a wing span of a little more than 15mm, this attractive moth had grey and white patterns on both sides of the fore wings. The hind wings were a beautiful yellow and without pattern on both sides. The outer margins of all four wings had a dark fringe.
Thorax was dark with a white patch. Abdomen showed dense yellow setae.
Feathery antennae suggests that this is a male moth.

Habitat:

This moth was spotted clinging from a spider web on an outer wall of a building- it was barely alive. There were native trees around this building.
