Field Notes

Description:

The grasshopper in the forefront looks to be a younger instar, body length 16mm. The grasshopper in the background (both pics) has wing buds and is larger than the other, body length 20mm.

Habitat:

Spotted on Guinea grass (Urochloa maxima) at James Cook University Cairns QLD

Notes:

My closest guess is a Pandanus Grasshopper, Bermioides nigrobivittatus. Any suggestions?
