Field Notes

Description:

A good cluster of inky looking mushrooms about 70mm tall. Striated dark caps; white stipes; almost black gills.

Habitat:

In grassy patch near introduced pinus radiata.

Notes:

Yet to check for species. Note another species within the cluster ( http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/21709093 ). Night shots bleh!

Close, but I believe they are Coprinopsis species instead due to the very deliquescent looking gills.
