Field Notes

Description:

Bracket Fungus found growing approximately 9 feet off of the ground, where a large dead branch is still attached to the live tree. This grows on the west side of the tree where it gets a few hours of sun in the late afternoon but spends most of it's time in shade.

Notes:

(The third picture showing the fungus breaking down, was taken 10 days later after the first 2.)
