Field Notes

Description:

A small Spider eating a Midge. These little spiders a so small. Approximately 4-5mm long. They have have striped abdomens. Some of these spiders are yellow and black and some of them are white and black. I see these little guys on a daily basis. They are quite speedy for their size.

Habitat:

They seem to like the back wall of the house. The sun usually shines on this wall.

Very cute Jumping Spider! This species is common in yards I think. I see them regularly here in NY. Yours looks like a female.
