Description:

I witnessed the mating of these Canada geese at a local lake. I had gone to the lake to take pictures of some ducks I had seen there and after sitting for a while, I noticed these two geese flapping their wings, ducking their heads under water and splashing. I started snapping pictures and captured their whole mating ritual. The whole ritual took around 15 minutes and was very exciting to watch. Canada geese often mate for life.

Habitat:

These geese were spotted at a small local lake surrounded by trees, tall grasses and brush.

Notes:

I took these pictures the same day that I took the pictures of the nesting goose that I posted on project Noah earlier.
