Field Notes

Description:

Large Harvestman of about 15mm body length. Base colour is a reddish brown, with some pale pink lines on cephalothorax and a pattern of small white circles; orange band at the base of the legs. A pair of spines above each eye, and another pair at the end of the abdomen, and on each of the first two abdominal segments. The long palps are help retracted on to the 'face', and are of a shiny greenish brown. Found at night.

Habitat:

Rainforest in the Ecuadorian Amazon region near Tena.
