Field Notes

Description:

Small delicate white mushrooms with caps about 5 mm wide. White spaced gills were more like folds on the underside of cap. Stipe had an orange tinge at the base; the colour gradually faded to yellow and then white at the cap.

Habitat:

Growing on moss covered log - damp eucalyptus forest.

Notes:

I am not sure what species of Marasmius this is but will keep looking.

Appears to have a slight resemblance to M.delectans of N. America
