Description:

This amazing plant is one of my favorites! One of the few plants that contain no chlorophyl, the Indian Pipe survives from specific fungi that grow on the root systems of certain trees. These flowers were popping up all along the sides of the trail. Native.

Habitat:

Connetquot River State Park. Temperate forest.
