Field Notes

Habitat:

Grass verge by a swamp in low nutrient soil area

Notes:

I was still two or three metres away when this spider ran to the top of a grass stem and started throwing its body out while clinging with one leg and trying to bite me. It bit my boot, my shadow and the white backdrop. I have never seen a spider get that aggressive before. I hope it is not a local trait or something. That is scary!
There is something between the abdomen and thorax. I wonder if it has a fungus that attacks the brain

I was wearing a tshirt with Indian Motorcycles on it. Perhaps it is a Harley Davidson fan
:) You must have done something to offend it.
