Crane Fly

This is a type of Crane Fly. They are from family Tipulidae. Though they are sometimes called Mosquito Hawks it is a confusing name. Adult Crane Flies usually live long enough to reproduce. They usually do not eat or drink, though some feed on nectar, and they can't bite or sting. Their larvae live in the soil and often eat roots and other vegetation.
