@rst0065, you may not make suggestions on your own spottings. If you know for certain what it is you complete all the appropriate fields correctly. If you do not know, or are unsure, you give as much information as you can in the description field and ensure you have the correct location and date (time of year) as these can be very important in determining which species are likely to be seen in a given place. Hooded Vultures have white legs and pinkish-white face and the adults also have white back of head and neck. I don't see any evidence of this but the picture is rather dark, a bit of lightening and maybe cropping before posting may help considerably.
Maybe a hooded vulture? When I asked my dad, he remembered that the description was similar to that of a hooded vulture so that's what I'm assuming it is.
Haha ya sorry about that, but ya I did take this picture! It was in South Africa, and I saw this bird. After publishing pictures though I now finally understand how the ID works. Thanks though! If you happen to know what the bird is, that would be AWESOME!
Not sure what you are talking about when you say "number of the photo"?
When someone helps with ID most likely they will give you the Name and Scientific name that is or what they suggest it could be. If it is confirmed or you know that is what it is then the rest is your observations of the spotting. They prefer you not to use something you looked up but what you experienced.
Could you please comment the number of the photo and what type of bird is in the photo? Also the scientific name? Family, Genus, Species? That would be amazing!
