Description:

This is the nymph of an assassin bug. This particular species uses sticky secretions on its legs to catch prey. You can see its nice praying mantis-style pose in the last picture. This one was up in a beech tree, maybe taking advantage of all the caterpillars eating the new leaves. I had to pull the branch down to get the pictures, so it was a bit tricky, but worth it!
