Thank you Zapabio & Jared!
Nice spot and great photo of such a tricky animal to locate!
Thanks YukoChartraw! @Paulm1: not 'astrain', but rather curious - at one stage it climbed on my shoulder. :)
I've never seen/heard of this animal, but it is absolutely beautiful! Love the colors and markings! Looks like a mixture of cat, opossum and raccoon!
Many thanks Janelle, Dan, Lauren, Ava and Mona! @Ava: thank you, I am happy I have contributed (with something small) to Project Noah! @Lauren: it was my first encounter with these very inquisitive creatures, and I was as excited as a little girl. :) I did not know what species they were, and had to wait for days until I reach a place with Internet connection.
What a beauty... I like the bushy tailed.. Awesome.
Congratulations Albena; this is the first Cape Genet on Project Noah!
I had never seen one of these before and had to look it up. It looks like a cat but is more closely related to the mongoose. Very beautiful animal! I suppose no one much likes them for pets because of their musk glands? They look like a fun pet!
Wow! How amazing to see!! Thank you for sharing these images! :-)
Thank you Luis! They actually found us... as well as our tented kitchen. Lol. At least they left us some bread...
