Field Notes

Description:

Translucent whitish caterpillar with a black head, black stripe down its back and black dots. Sparse yellowish hairs covering its body. Belly and legs solid whitish.

Habitat:

Found in a damp rotting log

Notes:

Can anyone help with ID? Is this a moth caterpillar or a beetle grub? (It has legs, so I'm thinking moth, but not sure.)
