Field Notes

Description:

Tall skinny purple flowers. About 12-14 inches tall. Many petals, no leaves on stem, grew amongst other tall grasses, one flower per plant, a few plants grouped together.

Habitat:

Tecolote Canyon, San Diego, CA. Dry, desert area. Has been sunny but colder than normal this week.
