Description:

Tiny brown beetle, about 3 mm long with light hairs on elytra and thorax.

Habitat:

Under porch light at night in backyard. "A strictly American genus, with many spp. in South and Central America (most probably still undescribed); a few spp. have been spread by commerce over (sub)tropical regions of the world, at least one naturalized in so. Africa"

Not leaf beetle. Deathwatch beetle, family Anobiidae instead. Nice pics!
