Description:

Golden-orange domes found in company of suspected Coprinellus sp. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/21577130
Approximately 45mm wide. Dense white gills; dark fibrous stem (snapped easily)

Habitat:

In grassy patch near introduced pinus radiata.

This is actually the same as the Enoki we buy in supermarkets. It is commercially grown in cold and complete darkness to produce the familiar little clumps of white stringy mushrooms. Distribution in Australia - http://bie.ala.org.au/species/Velvet+Foot

I think this is correct, providing they could have been growing from wood, perhaps just beneath the soil.
