Field Notes

Description:

There was not a single member of our group that did not let out a gasp as this emerged from behind the trees flying, gracefully, its huge wingspan (at least to me) fully outstretched, you could clearly see the white underside. It was absolutely majestic. A once-in-a-lifetime experience, I feel. I fumbled to get my camera on, off 'play' mode and into shooting mode, but by the time this feat was managed the bird had already settled. So no majestic shot of it flying unfortunately. Hope you appreciate it all the same!

Notes:

The Changeable Hawk Eagle is critically endangered, yet they want to destroy the habitat we saw it at by building a highway. Bukit Brown!
