Thank you for helping me Jason, I already did my first spotting yesterday. About this plant, do you ever smell the tip of young leaves? If smells fragrant it could be Zingiber aromaticum since there is another which is not. I have one but never grow that tall, it's about one meter or less. Maybe it's because I pick the tips of young leaves frequently? I love them for Javanese dish called 'bothok', taste excellent to me.

Hi Nenik! I'm not so sure about Z. aromaricum.. Because the leaf is more than 2 m tall.. To create a spotting, you can click "Upload a new spotting" on "home".. Yeah, you're right, that's Zingiber sp. But there're many species in Zingiber, I'm not sure what species is this..
