Description:

Non-poisonous snake is the family Colubridae. Its length is up to two meters. It appears in multiple colors and shades. Common color combinations are:

above is gray to brown with two rows of spots that run along the spine;
back once crossing the blue, green or gray-blue.
The entire snake completely black.

The only sure sign of recognition of the semimonthly spots on the back of the head on both sides, which are white in females, and yellow in males.

Habitat:

The most popular snake in Croatia. Frequently asked her habitat around rivers, lakes and wetlands. The water's swimming and diving, and the land is good climbs. Hiding under rocks and roots in holes in the ground. Sometimes he found well away from the water, in gardens and parks.
