Field Notes

Description:

One of the largest birds in the world. Extremely elegant! Easy to get some decent photos of as they would glide slowly past the ship, giving you time to get in focus, haha! Truly one of my favourite birding moments. Listed as Vulnerable by CITES, sadly.

Habitat:

Open ocean throughout the Southern Hemisphere.
