Field Notes

Description:

Unknown sex and size, near a known den site.

Habitat:

Rocky hillsides in dense grass.

Notes:

This is the first snake spotted of the day, which had clearly eaten a large meal, and was just throwing a loop out in the sun to aid digestion. It is likely that this snake did not emerge fully for several days.
