An Anna's in mid air. The red gorget is the result of the continuous squabbling between the 4 resident hummingbirds.

Thnx Gary. This season i am able to observe the hummingbirds in detail. The courtship dive at 51 miles per hour and the big explosion accompanied with it is quite amazing. The tail fathers are associated with the explosion.
