This tiny beetle (1.5mm) was found in leaf litter at the edge of a wetland.

Thanks Tom. I've tried chilling insects with mixed success. A camera with a good flash is on my wish list.
Thanks Lauren and Keith. I'm using the Canon 65mm macro lens with the 5:1 magnification, with the twin head ring flash. The way I get pictures of these beetles is to chill them in the fridge (doesn't slow them down much) and take plenty of shots and hope a few come out.
Not many people have the photographic skills. I doubt I could get as good a picture of an insect that small. How'd you get it to stay still? My experience focusing on beetle photography last year is that they tend to make difficult subjects because they move around a lot. I'm not sure how you got such good shots with a macro lens.
Thanks Keith. Not many people go after the tiny bugs, so they're usually underrepresented.
