Description:

Chinese Glory Bower growing along the trail that leads from Pali Lookout down to Maunawili Falls Trail on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. The plant is large, about 2 meters tall, and the purple bulb cluster open to reveal sweet smelling white flowers. The flowers were covered with tiny ants.
