you've got really nice shots and close-ups of small animals-can i ask you what kind of camera you use? :)
I agree Keith, but the ventral side looks wrong for the Silvery checkerspot (Chlosyne nycteis) & there are no other species of crescent in this area. Thanks Reiko!
