Field Notes

Description:

10cm across the legs. Very fast

Habitat:

Residence with open access to parks and trees. This spider has been visiting the apartment for at least 2 years at the same time of year. It drinks from the sink and if there isn't water available there will sit patiently while I prepare something. The last time I filled a glass for it, it drank and then spent the night on the painting over the desk I was sitting at.

Notes:

Identification: Field Guide to Spiders of Australia. Robert Whyte and Greg Anderson. Possibly Heteropoda jugulans
