Description:

Cicadellidae; Deltocephalinae; Chiasmini; Nephotettix; Nephotettix nigropictus (Stål, 1870). Wikipedia mentions that this bug is a pest of Millets. It is, as its common name suggests, also a bit of a pest in the rice fields.

Habitat:

This Green Rice Leafhopper was spotted at the edge of a rice field just before harvesting time.
