Field Notes

Description:

A small group of 6 but not very close together; about 90mm tall and 80mm wide; caps pale orange and white patchy/scaly looking, recurved margin and depressed at centre; stipe thick, straight, white with orange patches; gills yellow, close and very straight

Habitat:

Under pinus radiata in low grassy area

Notes:

Cooked and tasted. Nothing to write home about. Certainly don't deserve the deliciosus tag. Yet to try dried ones.

Antonio good friend.. do not worry. You would not believe what we went through to check these. By the time we convinced ourselves they had self dried ! :-)
Great find Argy,take care on eating them(mushroom in general :-) i want o follow your's spottings for a very long period ;-)
Yes mauna it didn't look very edible to me with those colors... but we're still here. :)
