Field Notes

Description:

This cabbage white pupa emerged today.
I left it horizontal as it was and it very quickly found a hanging position.
The six photographs were taken within five minutes

Habitat:

The caterpillars were gathered from a local park and kept captive to observe them emerging.

Notes:

Pupation was on 10th and emergence on the 19th.
The pupal duration is nine days in this case.

Yes, valentinezza it happens so quickly. I had several specimens because of that but it was the first that emerged when I was waiting, luckily.
