Field Notes

Description:

Male (black antennae knobs). Variable markings. Orange with black border. White and black spots and dashes. Wingspan: 21-34 mm. Adult food: Nectar of wide variety of flowers including dogbane, swamp milkweed and asters.

Habitat:

Meadow with variety of flowers and weeds especially asters.
