Field Notes

Description:

This is a picture of a Speedwell plant that I found at the City Gardens. It is about an inch and a half tall, and about 4 and a half inches wide. It had small green leaves and there were many other Speedwells (or Veronica lonifolia) planted around this particular one.

Habitat:

This Speedwell lives in the City Gardens of St.Louis Missouri. More specifically, it lives in a small divided area in loamy (A soil with roughly equal proportions of sand, silt, and clay) soil as you can see in the picture. It was planted in an area where it gets full sun and the soil was kept moist.
