Field Notes

Description:

2-3cm mainly black cricket with pale legs, The rear legs are speckled and have brown knees and ears. The antenna are twice as long at the body

Habitat:

seems to live in grasses on an oval and to be nocturnal.

Notes:

These are a very common summer visitor I have not been able to identify. The markings on the legs and the other pale parts are consistent as there are male and female spottings throughout these months. More research but the online references are limiting File #speckle legged cricket ms5
