The common name(s) for Adenium obesum include the impala lily and desert rose. :-)

It looks like an adenium obesum but you saw it so you may compare it better with the pictures. I don´t know where you found it, it seems to be common in Sahel regions, south of the Sahara according to wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adenium_obesum Adding some notes makes identification easier. Great spotting drumline 1227 =)
