The Northern Bobwhite, Virginia Quail or Bobwhite Quail is a ground-dwelling bird native to the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean. It is a member of the group of species known as New World quails.

Thanks Guys, this particular bird at one point was about 5 ft from my camera as I laid on the side of the field watching them. Fun times :-)
I'm jealous of this, I've never seen them for more than half a second when they're flying away from me
