Field Notes

Description:

This hawk was being chased by a Red Winged Black Bird.

Habitat:

Riparian

Notes:

Emily raised a great question. If it is possible that I might have spotted this individual several times.
This time i had identified it as a "Red Shouldered Hawk" This territory is occupied by Red Shouldered and Cooper's. Red tailed hawk is a very unique sighting. Besides I could not see the front view.
I am reconsidering and re identifying this hawk as a Red Tailed.
